Work-, school- and daycare accidents

Behandlung von Arbeitsunfällen COPV Berlin

The initial and follow-up treatment of accidents insured by the "Berufsgenossenschaft" Insurance Association (accidents at work or on the way to work) is a major focus of the D-Arzt practice in Kaiser-Wilhelm-Strasse.

With our clear structure we offer a very time-saving alternative to the long waiting times in the rescue centers of the hospitals. At the same time, we can assure you that you will be treated by a competent specialist who has many years of experience in dealing with occupational accidents and the necessary measures.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a wonderful complementary method in the pain therapeutic treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system but also of stress-related disorders of the muscles, tendons, joints and bones.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in its approach always tries to balance Yin and Yang and thus achieve a normal "flow" of energies. The name is derived from the Latin words for needle (acus) and prick (punctio).

Acupuncture therapy consists of several sessions. In this process, the patient lies relaxed on the back and several thin needles are placed at the beginning at certain points of the body by carefully turning them.

The length of the needles and the depth of penetration depends on the corresponding therapy point.

Shortly after, a soothing and relaxing effect often occurs. A session lasts approximately between 20-30 minutes.

What happens in the body during acupuncture?

According to the understanding of traditional Chinese medicine, the life energy Qi runs in the human being in energy channels, the so-called meridians. These are small pathways that are located at over 600 points just under the skin and can be punctured with small, fine needles.

According to the teachings, a person is healthy when energy flows harmoniously through these pathways. However, illnesses can alter the flow and lead, for example, to complaints such as pain in the joints.

Puncturing the pathways during acupuncture leads to stimulation of the harmonious flow of energy and thereby removal of the blockage causing the complaint.

The acupuncture needles are very thin and hardly noticeable.

Acupuncture appointments can be conveniently booked online by existing patients with Dr. Haase

Arthrosis therapy

Bone remodeling processes and changes in joint position lead to abrasion of the articular cartilage (arthrosis), which can result in severe pain and immobility of the patient. It is necessary to stop the progression of joint wear and tear, as there is no complete possibility of regeneration of destroyed joint cartilage.

In addition to regular exercise (without heavy load), we offer the following gentle options to improve the cartilage substance without surgery.

Arthrosis therapy without surgery

The goal should always be to avoid joint surgery or at least to delay it for several years, as long as the quality of life is not affected. We have been successfully using conservative therapy methods for years and have thus been able to spare many patients an operation.

Nevertheless, we do not hesitate to recommend surgery if, for example, joint degeneration has progressed too far. Special consultation hours for arthrosis therapy are offered by Dr. Haase, Dr. Gümbel and Mr. Heine

Acupuncture

One of the classic indications for pain in the joints and muscles. An indication as a service of the public health insurances exists for the chronic lumbar vertebrae pain and the knee pain.

All other indications such as hip, shoulder and spine pain can be covered as IGel services. Privately insured patients should clarify the costs with their insurance company before treatment.

Hyaluronic acid

An important component for the protection of cartilage, injected into the joint and protects the cartilage from further degeneration.

Hyaluronic acid should be injected several times at weekly-monthly intervals, depending on the joint. The cartilage-protecting effect then persists for at least 6 months, and repetition is possible without any problems. This is a pure IGel service, privately insured patients should clarify the costs with their insurance before treatment.

Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP)

In mild to moderate osteoarthritis, autologous blood therapy, also called PRP therapy, is particularly effective. This new therapy method uses growth factors in the patient's own blood to regenerate cartilage.

For this purpose, blood is taken from the arm vein and the protective factors obtained from it are

are injected directly into the corresponding joint after a special separation procedure in a single session lasting about 5 minutes. The procedure is painless.

What appointment do I need for osteoarthritis therapy?

We offer special appointments with our trauma surgeons and orthopedists for an initial consultation. You can also book these online under Arthrosis Therapy. Please bring all preliminary findings and any X-rays with you to the appointment. Please hand in any images on CDs to the receptionist for reading before the consultation.

Attention: ACP and hyaluronic acid therapy is unfortunately not yet covered by the public health insurance. Therefore, if you wish to have this therapy, we will be happy to provide you with a cost estimate as an IGeL service (according to the German Fee Schedule for Physicians, GOÄ). Private patients please inquire with your insurance company about cost coverage prior to treatment.

Foot diseases

Foot complaints can have a variety of causes. Looking at local pain individually is often not enough and can lead down the wrong treatment paths.

This makes it all the more crucial to consult an experienced foot specialist. The most common conditions are deformities and wear and tear of the toe joints, osteoarthritis of the tarsal joints and cartilage disorders of the ankle joint.

Big toe and little toe

  • Hallux valgus
  • Hallux rigidus
  • Hallux varus
  • Hammer, claw and claw toe deformity

Metataralgie

  • Lesion of the plantar plate
  • Köhler's disease

Fußsohlenschmerzen

  • Plantarfasziitis
  • Fersensporn
  • Achillodynie / Haglundferse
  • Tarsaltunnelsyndrom / Baxternerv

Tarsal and back foot pain

  • Arthroses and instabilities of the tarsal joints
  • Arthroses of the lower ankle joint
  • Synostoses = congenital joint malformations

Hand diseases

The field of hand surgery includes prevention, diagnostics as well as conservative and surgical therapy of various wear and tear and accidental diseases of our hands.

  • Arthrosis operations, e.g. on the thumb saddle and finger joints
  • Treatments for damage to the peripheral nerves of the arm and hand
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Ulnar nerve syndrome

Orthopedics

Through a high level of professional standards and close collegial cooperation, we can successfully treat a wide range of orthopedic clinical pictures.

The aim is to avoid unnecessary surgical treatments or to delay necessary surgical treatments as far as possible, e.g. for osteoarthritis of the knee and hip joints.

Back pain

In most cases, this is the acute onset of back pain. This is caused by the dysfunction of a single movement segment (acute lumbago).

A distinction is also made here between pain radiating into the legs, lumboischialgia. Early orthopedic intervention in this case can help to achieve a rapid recovery, reduces the recurrence rate and enables the patient to be mobilized quickly.

  • Acupuncture
  • Chirotherapy
  • Orthotic treatment
  • Infiltration therapy of the small vertebral joints
  • Infiltration therapy of the nerve roots
  • Kinesiotaping
  • Manual therapy
